Language with the Five Senses Education is currently seeking a grant to research the impact of international educator collaboration on student achievement.  This creation of this project is in response to an increased need to address issues of equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness of educators in American K-12 schools to increase student engagement and achievement, specifically in underrepresented student populations. This project will explore the impact of international educator collaborations on educator cultural responsiveness in the K-12 classroom and how that impacts student achievement.  This project aims to connect American and African and Middle Eastern educators to work in teams to implement cross-cultural, international, and interdisciplinary activities in their classrooms throughout an entire school year. This project will explore the correlation between international teacher collaboration that leads to increased cultural responsiveness of the educator and how that affects student achievement, specifically in students of color and underrepresented populations.  The objective is to use the results of the research to develop a Global Classrooms Program that can be implemented in schools and districts around the world.  We will use a blended model of Virtual Reality and in-person learning through the use of Meta Oculus.
